MOSCOW, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Russia will fight economic racketeering that forces foreign companies to leave the country and choose the measures that favor its interests, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday.
"Russia will counteract the economic banditry this way or another and will choose the measures that will suit our interests best," Peskov said.
President Vladimir Putin plans to hold meetings on economic issues next week, but no meetings with foreign business are on schedule, Peskov said. Daily consultations with the president are held because the economic situation is extraordinary and demands extraordinary instruments.
Peskov added that Russia is interested in being attractive for investment and cooperation with the international business.
He also said that Russia is monitoring possible prohibition on imports of Russian oil, and this measure would have a serious fallout for the global markets.
